About Me

My photo
Helene Burnett
Helene and her husband,Art moved to the HomePlace(Central Texas) in May of 2000. The rigors of the move saw the birth of the Empress.Someone had to be in charge, yes? Retired from reading 60 sixth grade compositions a week, plus conferencing with students and plain old-fashioned teaching, Helene has more time to work on her own writing. That is, when she's not substitute teaching or teaching writing freelance to 4th graders. I guess the retirement joke's on her!
